Salamander

Well crap. I was hoping to have this up before New Years, but I'm about an hour late according to my clock.

So! First piece of the new year is from this world I've been building in my head since...forever, really. I always end up mashing it into whichever fandom I'm interested in at the moment, making for lots of shenanigans.

This is a fire elemental-in fact, a salamander. A little bit cat, a little bit ferret, a little bit dragon, a whole basket full of trouble. Salamanders are the sort of critters most magi won't touch with a barge pole-the strong ones are too independent and the weaker ones are just too weak to bother with, so the fire magi tend to prefer the other elemental.
